The 6th China Plastics Exhibition & Conference (PEC 2006) will be held September 22 – 24, 2006 at the Taizhou International Convention & Exhibition Center in Taizhou City , China . Taizhou is the home to both China 's largest plastics production base and trading center for plastics raw materials, machines and machine tools. With over 10,000 plastics processing factories, over 2000 plastic moulds manufacturers, and consumption of more than 2.8 million tons of raw materials, Taizhou produces about 60 percent of plastics products and components in China , and about 80 percent of plastics gifts and novelties for the United States and European markets.
Jointly organized once a year by SinoPec Corp. and PetroChina Company Ltd., the two major players in China's plastics industry, and by China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China Plastics Machine Industry Association and the Taizhou Municipal Government, PEC offers you with
a unique opportunity to exhibit / observe a wide spectrum of plastics products and services, from final products to raw materials, machines, machine tools, molds, dies, technologies, and to build direct trading relations with your Chinese counterparts.
Because of PEC's proximity to where the goods are produced, you are encouraged to visit the local companies that interest you during the expo, usually within half an hour's driving distance, to see for yourself the production lines, the capacities, and the ways that the job orders are handled there.
Growing at an annual rate of 15% since its debut in 2001, PEC will have 1,200 booths this year, (over 80% have been reserved by the end of July 2006), with a total exhibition space of 30,000 square meters. It is the only plastics industry exhibition in China that has been officially endorsed and supported by the Ministry of Commerce, P.R. China, as one of the 17 major exhibitions in the country.
